If your equipment and devices will be installed in refinery, petrochemical, and chemical plants in Korea, KCs Certificates are required first as per one of these laws:
Energy Use Rationalization Act (KEA/ KEMCO)
High Pressure Gas Safety Control Act (KGS)
Industrial Safety and Health law (KOSHA)
Electric Utility Law (KESCO)
The Korea Energy Agency(KEA) is carrying out manufacturing inspections from the local country on Machinery & Equipment subject to inspection that are imported after
December 3, 2017 based on the samecriteria as Korea according to therevision in the Energy UseRationalization Act.Energy Use Rationalization ActArticle 39-2
(Inspection for importedMachinery & Equipment Subject toInspection).
The Imported EquipmentManufacturing Inspection System isbased on the Energy UseRationalization Act, and onlyequipment specified by the EnergyUse Rationalization Act is covered.
Boilers and Pressure Vesselsthat generate high temperature / highpressure steam or hot water are subject to this certificate.
If your pressure equipment and devices will be installed in refinery, petrochemical, and chemical plants in Korea as per High Pressure Gas Safety Control Act, KGS KC
Certificates should be considered.
Qualification through Manufacturing Registration Certificate.
Manufacturing in accordance with qualified certificate scope.
Transfer to KGS KC Certificate.
